Did you know that there are occult themes and symbolism within many of your favourite films and television series?
An occult film refers to one that features secret or symbolic messages “intended only for the initiate” but hidden in plain sight. Occult messaging thus reference “elite secret knowledge” and feature topics that include but are not limited to child abuse, freemasonry, Satanism, and intelligence operations. The reason these topics are considered “elite” or “occult” is because the Epstein class cross-pollinates and allies with one another in similar fashion to the Gladio predatory class of the postwar period. “Occult” motifs and symbology thus reference the “secret knowledge” of overlapping powerful people. This may include general billionaires/CEOs, Epstein pedophiles, occultists, politicians, Zionists, freemasons, intelligence agents, Satanists, Hollywood celebrities, and so forth, and these identities may also overlap (eg a Hollywood director who is also a CIA asset or a Zionist who is also a Satanist pedophile). This is why occult imagery in Hollywood can reference any of these communities.
For the uninitiated, there are typically two schools of thought regarding occult symbology in Hollywood media:
- These repeated motifs and symbols absolutely mean something important to corrupted Hollywood “elites”, and reveal something significant about their spiritual beliefs, or
- It’s not that deep. They’re just movies and celebrities. Who cares?
If you’ve been reading my past essays, you may note I’m not really an “it’s not that deep” kind of person. It’s not just that it’s boring, it’s also frequently inaccurate, and stops conversations in their tracks before they even have a chance to begin. That said, I have actually been a skeptical person before all this, so I understand why one would fall in the latter camp.
For them, I would point out three things:
1) I have quite literally seen thousands of horror movies. So I can tell you that regardless of whether you believe the symbology and motifs are significant to the Epstein class, the imagery and subject matter still do literally appear repeatedly in a way that is not random; 2) There is quite a bit of actual evidence that Hollywood is an important part of the empire’s propaganda machine, and that Hollywood celebrities have built significant relationships that overlap with intelligence operations and other “elite communities;” and 3) Artists can write about their own experiences, and Hollywood connections are literally in the Epstein files. It is thus not unfounded to believe that Hollywood celebrities would at the very least be aware of the Epstein class criminal activities if not actually complicit in crimes. It thus is realistic that they may reference them occasionally in their work.
Occult storylines and symbology appears across genres. Though they are perhaps best understood through darker films like Eyes Wide Shut (1991), The Good Shepherd (2006), The Shining (1980), or the 9th Gate (1999), they can also be noted in media you would not expect, such as television series Gilmore Girls (2000-2007) or Gossip Girl (2007-2012).
NOTICEABLE THEMES AND SYMBOLS (not exhaustive)
The Mosaic Pavement
Films and television referencing secret knowledge and “elite” spiritualism may feature black-and-white floor tiles. This can be seen in media depictions like the dream sequence in The Big Lebowski (1998), the Waiting Room in Beetlejuice (1988), and the devil’s office in The Devil’s Advocate (1997). In Gossip Girl—a show about an anonymous blogger who writes under a pseudonym and observes the “scandalous lives of the Manhattan elite”)—the character Blair Waldorf’s penthouse floor resembles both the black-and-white floor tiles and NATO’s compass rose, which are both references to her elite status.
Black-and-white tiles do not always have to mean something, however, they have spiritual meaning for freemasons. The style is called a “Mosaic Pavement” and it is meant to represent the ground floor of King Solomon’s Temple. Similar to the Masonic two pillars, the checkerboard floor represents duality—good and evil, light and darkness, positive and negative.
Secret Societies and Initiation Rituals
Films with occult messaging often depict secret societies, which require strict adherence to club rules and hold initiations that are typically sexual or cruel. In an early episode of Gossip Girl for instance, 14-year-old Jenny is desperate to join Blair’s elite clique, so upon her initiation, she is required to drink underage and play truth or dare, which involves making out with other girls and luring a man into cheating on his girlfriend.
While this of course represents hazing, these depictions are considered occult as they allude to the theory that hazing derives from what is widely alleged but unproven about CIA culture: that when they are initiated into the agency, they are required to engage in unethical humiliation rituals and provide the agency with kompromat to secure allegiance, so intelligence knows they will remain loyal. While unproven, it is absolutely true that the CIA and other intelligence agencies have a history of utilizing sexual kompromat and honey traps for offensive and defensive purposes. As we’ve discussed, the CIA is also aware that sex, trauma, and shame are all effective control mechanisms.
The film The Good Shepherd (2006) portrays this. In the film, the character Edward Wilson—based on a combination of real CIA agents including James Angleton of the Wilderness of Mirrors—joins Yale’s Skull & Bones fraternity, which in real life is associated with “the power elite,” a connected group of individuals who dominate American policymaking. Membership to the club is thus secretive and coveted, which is what Gilmore Girls was referencing with Yale’s “Life and Death Brigade.” Membership to Skull & Bones also incorporates Satanic/occult symbolism. Members are assigned nicknames including— and no I am not kidding—Baal, Magog, and Boaz amongst other Biblical names.
In The Good Shepherd, Wilson is initiated into the Skull & Bones by participating in a humiliation ritual. He wrestles naked with other initiates while accepted members urinate on them. He must also lie naked in front of the others while revealing a traumatic memory about his father’s suicide.
These themes are repeated in similar films. In Eyes Wide Shut (1991), the most famous occult movie in Hollywood, Tom Cruise’s character accidentally stumbles upon a ritual that involves robes, chanting, and Venetian-style masks. The members mistake him for an initiate and also ask him to strip naked.
Masks, Costumes, and Robes
On that note, masks, costumes, and robes are also typically featured in occult films, such as in the above or in The Conspiracy (2012), a mockumentary about Canadian conspiracy theorists ranting about secret elites controlling the world (lol). It also features a secret society where members wear masks in Bohemian Grove-style. For those unaware, Bohemian Grove is a real and exclusive private campground in which ultra-wealthy classes develop personal, business, and political relationships. Their symbol is an owl, which is both a symbol for wisdom and a Satanic symbol, as owls thrive in darkness. Infowars’ Alex Jones (who is also compromised btw), released a video of a Bohemian Grove ritual a while back, which you’ll now note looks familiar.
The Conspiracy’s poster features a red bull mask because the film’s club worships Mithras and sacrifices bulls at gatherings. Quiz: who is another famous bull from Satanic elite lore? That’s right, Ba’al Hadad, good job.
Venetian masks may also allude to the beginning of the British empire, which began under merchants in Venice (this is best explained by the fantastic Canadian researcher and historian Matthew Ehret).
In some cases, masks as a part of sexual costumes may also evoke the Epstein class’ sexual hedonism and pedophilia. An occult interpretation can for instance be made regarding the “Bear Man” in Kubrick’s adaptation of The Shining. The Shining has multiple interpretations, but I have the best one. A mainstream interpretation is that since multiple scenes in the film portray Danny in scenes with teddy bears, bears and the Bear Man may represent Jack’s secret physical abuse of Danny. But you can actually take this interpretation one step further.
Teddy bears also symbolize pedophilia and the Epstein class. So an “occult” reading of the film implies that in Kubrick’s adaptation (if not also Stephen King’s novel), Jack may have actually hurt Danny in more ways than one. An occult reading suggests that Jack’s possession by the Overlook Hotel actually symbolizes his possession by the evils of America, which he has now inherited: the evil of the costumed Bohemian Grove elites, the evil of pedophilia and the Epstein trafficking network, and the evil of American elite classes of the past, who he joins at the end of the film and whose own evil was responsible for exterminating Indigenous Americans.
Hunting/Selling Parties, Competitions to the Death, and Torture-For-Pay Operations
Occult storylines also feature “elite hunting/selling parties,” torture-for-pay operations, or competitions in which the Masses are required to fight to the death for money. Emails between Jeffrey Epstein and Ariane de Rothschild imply it is possible activities like this could actually exist.
This would not be the first time we’ve heard allegations about this. A Slovenian documentary from 2022 alleged that this happened in the Siege of Sarajevo (1992-1996). The documentary argued that a form of war tourism emerged in this period, which involved a human-hunting safari where wealthy foreigners paid exorbitant fees to kill civilians. Movies like Ready or Not (2019) reference this—it’s about a bride marries into an elite family, but must survive a hunting party until dawn to be initiated. The Hunt (2020) or The Most Dangerous Game (1932) also reference this, while films like Get Out (2017)—considered by some to be an “MK Ultra movie”—evoke historical slavery but could also possibly reference current slavery and the theft of bodily autonomy. Many horror movies also feature “torture/murder-for-pay” operations, most notably in the Hostel series.
Deadly game shows also tend to be featured. Even mainstream interpretations acknowledge that these films reference how ultra-wealthy classes are happy to set lower classes against each other to survive. In these stories, the only reason “elites” ever give for participating in these activities is because they’re bored and don’t care about others. These shows include Squid Game (2021), Cube (1997), The Belko Experiment (2016), Escape Game (2019), and the Platform (2019).
Others
While I’ve run out of room in this essay, the list above is not exhaustive.
Child harm and Epstein island is also a hidden “elite” theme; this can be widely perceived, such as with “pleasure island” from Disney’s Pinocchio or anything featured on Nickelodeon. Other films feature more Satanic and spiritual imagery. The Ninth Gate (1991) features a Satanic ritual, five-pointed stars, the Tree of Life, and the rod of Asclepius, which is not only a symbol for medicine but a symbol that evokes the Caduceus, a staff carried by the Greek god Hermes entwined with two snakes. Hermes was the patron saint of merchants, thieves, robbers, liars, deceivers, and gamblers. As we’ve discussed, the temple on Epstein island evokes Hermetic philosophies, and the current imperial Pedo class owes its historic roots to Venetian merchants.
Other occult imagery and topics include “weird science for rich people,” the labyrinth, and the covered/singular eye. Hollywood celebrities in particular are a fan of the singular/covered eye. While there are many interpretations of what this symbolizes, the lone eye can be tied to various spiritualist backgrounds, but the “godly principle” is similar. The Masonic Eye of Providence, Illuminati All-Seeing Eye, Egyptian Eye of Horus, and Norse eye of Odin/Wotan all represent god, surveillance, power, protection, knowledge, and/or control in one way or another. Certain actors like Jim Carrey have alleged that in Hollywood it refers to the Illuminati.
In the image above from the 2012 adaptation of Les Miserables for example, the one eye is in reference to the Illuminati and secret societies which overlapped with revolutionaries of the French Revolution and Paris Uprising of 1832, the inspiration behind Victor Hugo’s Les Miserables novel. You will thus note that many (though not all) occult films feature one eye on their posters, including Eyes Wide Shut, Get Out, The Substance, and The Good Shepherd.
