Ümit Horozcu

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümit Horozcu He was born in Istanbul in 1978. He completed his secondary education at Sarıyer Imam Hatip High School. In 2001, he graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Theology. In the same year, he started his master's degree in Psychology of Religion. In 2003, he was appointed as a research assistant to Istanbul University Faculty of Theology, Department of Psychology of Religion. In 2004, he completed his master's degree and in 2010 he completed his doctorate. In 2011, he was appointed as an assistant professor (Dr. Lecturer). In 2017, he received the title of associate professor in the field of Psychology of Religion. Ümit Horozcu, who continues his academic career at Istanbul University Faculty of Theology, where he has been a member since his student days, is married and has three children.
