Getting started…

In the 20th century, it was believed that the pen is mightier than the sword, ideas are more powerful than violence, virtue prevails over materialism, and reason triumphs over foolishness. While these ideals may not always win or dominate, they are superior. The goal is not always to win, conquer, or dominate, but to always be on the right path, have direction, and live with virtue and dignity.

Ideas that encompass this goal are valuable. They are lasting and honorable. Any thought that rejects the servitude of one human to another is valuable. Any formula that can tame human’s animalistic nature is important. Any call that invites humanity from its lowest state to its highest is noble.

Unfortunately, those born in the 20th century witnessed the struggle for noble and valuable ideas resulting in the opposite outcome. Constant disappointments, spiritual defeats, and unimaginable results have led to deep despair. The sacrifices made for ideas that went unrewarded, the pain endured, and the lost years have created a deep divide that pulls people away from sacrificing themselves for the sake of others. As Nietzsche said, “When you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.”

Kritik Bakış aims to be the platform for those who have stopped gazing into the abyss. It aspires to be the inner and outer voice of those who persistently and hopefully cling to virtue and dignity. It strives to believe in the ability to still change the world, the country, societies, and individuals, not surrendering to any unjust, unfair, cruel, or anti-human force. It resists all irrational forms imposed on humanity, challenges lies and fakeness, and aspires to be the bastion of those who advocate for the superiority of speech, ideas, virtue, reason, and faith. It invites those who think afresh, question, and search, leaving behind ideological, ethnic, religious, and sectarian baggage, to walk together with a pure, taboo-free, fetish-free, and dogma-free mind.

Kritik Bakış on those born in the 21st century to hold the guard of reason, ideas, and virtue, with the accumulated experience that they will not have to experience the same trauma, disappointments, and pessimism as their parents, but rather with a stronger faith.

“Words have not run out, hope is alive.”
